
On the discographic plan, it is into 1992 that the work of Lévon Minassian takes dimension, since, solicited by Peter Gabriel (founder of the Genesis group), it is found implied in the albums and the "Secrecy World Live Tour" of the owner of the Realworld label. A blow of projector which will make of him a doudoukist very snuffed by great names of the varieties (of Aznavour with Helene Ségara) or personalities of World Music (Sting, I Muvrini, Simon Emerson, Manu Katché etc). In parallel, Lévon Minassian undertakes a more personal work with the type-setter of dances and musics of cinema, Armand Amar, noticed since for its film B.O. (Amen, the chopper, the ground seen of the sky, Va, screw and become, Indigènes...). It is with him, that in 1997, it engraves a first album, Lévon Minassian and friends, conceived starting from topics and profane or crowned traditional melodies, in which the doudouk instigates its language with the meeting of other instruments of planets, of the Indian violin to the oud. Fruit three year old of work of the tandem, its new opus, Songs from has world apart, which has just appeared, continues more before the ambition to give to the doudouk a new statute of instrument soloist and a musical space out of the traditional context. | 
Two accomplices getting busy to invent a universe being inspired less than one form that atmosphere by a poetry to imagine arrangements, to choose stamps, which reveal new colors with the doudouk. This work of emancipation of which one can judge the range through the phrased new ones, the public will be able to judge some with this exceptional recital for which, Lévon Minassian wished to be supported by two doudoukists arriving of Arménie, Arthur Ghasabian (second voice) and Armen Ghazarian (with the bumblebee). The repertory informing two superb beautiful voice, Roselyne Minassian, major voice of the female Armenian song, and that of Hamlet Gervorgian, "number 1" of the traditional song with Erevan, whose knowledge of the parts of the achoughs and goussans (troubadours and poêtesdont the apogee returns to XVIIIè century) is impressive. | Turned in a part of apricot tree, the doudouk is a bored ancestral oboe of 9 holes. A sheer doubles long and broad, in reed, encases itself in one of its ends. It is enclosed of a ring which, by modifying its opening, makes it possible to grant the instrument.
